It has pink flowers, 8 – 10 cm in diameter, with a strong myrrh fragrance. The cup – shaped blooms, with 100 – 160 petals, are a lovely pink, lighter at the edges and deeper in the center. Rose The Ancient Mariner is a large, vigorous shrub, highly disease – resistant. It’s extremely floriferous, flowering repeatedly in multiple seasons, with large quantities of flowers from spring to almost winter. However, it’s not sun – tolerant, performs poorly in summer, has a relatively short flowering period in summer, and is not suitable for dry and infertile soils. Ideal for border beds.
